About & Contact

Luxury Grade II listed Pele Tower, Yorkshire Dales

The Pele Tower, Killington Hall has been lovingly restored to offer 2 en-suite bedrooms, with open plan kitchen/diner/sitting room. There is a utility/WC on the ground floor with washer/dryer facilities and a drying rack. The Pele Tower is furnished to the highest of standards with underfloor heating throughout, a stone flagged ground floor and wool carpets on the stairs and first floor.

The lounge houses a log burning stove with all the logs you will require for your stay (a log store has been built into the garden wall to allow you to fill the basket up should you run out) and comfortable sofas. There is a desk in the lounge with writing paper and postcards available should you wish to use them. There are Smart TV's in both bedrooms, the kitchen and lounge, all of which are plugged directly into the CAT5 network offering uninterupted watching of your favourite box set or film. Listen to your favourite music on the Echo Dot and unwind with a glass of wine from the welcome hamper along with some of the other home-made treats you will find in it.

The master bedroom - All Saints has a super king-size bed with extra long pillows. A freestanding bath in the fireplace with WC and sink off to the side in an enclosed space. Views from this room look out over All Saints church to the fells beyond, Middleton and Barbon fells. Springs Ghyll bedroom is set up as a twin room with a zip 'n' link bed making this a super king bedroom if you prefer. The en suite in the room has a shower. There is a lovely area to relax where you can enjoy spotting the wildlife, binoculars are left here for you to use during your stay.

The outside space offers peace and tranquility and great vision of the wildlife in the stream below, infinity glass surrounds the decked platform. Garden furniture is available between March - October. A barbecue is placed on a purpose built patio area off the garden path which is also available from March - October.

There is much to do in the area, with lots of great walks straight out of the door and fantastic places to eat with Sedbergh being 4.5 miles, Kirkby Lonsdale 6 miles and Kendal 8 miles away there are great shops, restaurants and places of interest to visit. Our welcome booklet highlights some real gems but we hope you will tell us of others we are unaware of.

The Pele Tower is ideally situated just 3 miles off J37 of the M6, 8 miles from Oxenholme, the Lake District train station and is in the Yorkshire Dales National Park. Only being 20 minutes out of the Lake District National Park this really is a fantastic place to stay.

Meet the owner

Ann Newbold

Ann & Andy Newbold moved into Killington Hall in 2003. Following a decade of restoration work Ann & Andy are ready to welcome you into this beautiful property to enjoy a break from the daily grind, relax on the platform whilst listening to the babble of the stream below, stretch out in front of the woodburner or enjoy a soak in the freestanding bath. A welcome hamper will await you adorned with local produce including jam/chutney and possibly some gin liqueur some of which will have been produced next door in Killington Hall. They will show you round and then leave you to enjoy your break, should you need any help with anything they are close to hand. The welcome pack should give you all the information you require to enjoy the property and the local area during your stay. Ann & Andy would love your feedback so please take some time to fill out the visitors book before you leave and also leave a review on UpFront Reviews.
